Institutional Research Sales - Business Development Manager
Blue Fox Advisors is seeking to expand its sales team with a mid-level Business Development Manager who will directly support the firm’s partners through institutional sales processes. The ideal candidate has experience cultivating and prospecting clients, preferably in investment and research products to financial institutions in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. They should possess a passion for the markets and self-motivation for prospecting new sales. An entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to hit and exceed targets are crucial to achieving success in this role. This role will report to the Managing Director.

Job Description
Blue Fox Advisors is seeking to expand its sales team with a mid-level Business Development Manager who will directly support the firm’s partners through institutional sales processes. The ideal candidate has experience cultivating and prospecting clients, preferably in investment and research products to financial institutions in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. They should possess a passion for the markets and self-motivation for prospecting new sales. An entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to hit and exceed targets are crucial to achieving success in this role. This role will report to the Managing Director.
Essential Functions:
- Develop a strong knowledge of the subscription products and become proficient at providing walkthroughs of the services
- Maintain a knowledge of global economic and business trends to facilitate conversations with prospects and clients
- Through market analysis, identify key prospect companies and establish relationships with potential subscribers and decision-making individuals within companies
- Develop targeted prospect lists and coordinate sales presentations with prospective clients
- Initiate and manage trial subscriptions for appropriate prospects utilizing phone discussions, video conferences, and face-to-face meetings
- Close sales of strategist products and coordinate onboarding steps
- Ensure lead, prospect and client contact details and communications are recorded in Salesforce
- Prepare periodic sales reports to be shared and discussed with the Managing Director
- Liaise with other staff on marketing campaigns and strategy
Skills and Experience:
- A proven, demonstrable sales track record, with approximately 3-5 years of experience, ideally in institutional sales.
- Experience selling to international markets is an advantage
- Candidate must have strong communication, presentation and writing skills
- Must be a self-starter, with the ability to manage time and priorities efficiently and a drive to set and reach ambitious goals
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; knowledge of Salesforce.com and Bloomberg is preferred
- The ideal candidate will possess their Series 65 designation (or 7 & 66 combined), however Blue Fox will sponsor pursuit of the Series 65 as needed
